Mindy Safran | CEO
Mindy was born in Syracuse, NY, and spent part of her childhood studying in Germany before returning to the United States. That early blend of international perspective and creative training laid the foundation for a career built on precision, craftsmanship, and large-scale production.
She studied Technical Theatre and Political Science at SUNY Fredonia and quickly became immersed in Rochester’s theatre and production community. Over the years, she developed hands-on expertise across nearly every technical discipline, including scenic painting, set construction, lighting, wardrobe, and production management.
Her career expanded into feature film, av and live event production, where she gained experience managing complex environments, crews, and logistics. Recognizing the growing demand for high-quality custom builds, Mindy founded and operated one of the largest set construction companies in the region. Her team designed and built custom environments for major venues, studios, and events across the country.
Today, as part of Safran Production Services, Mindy brings that same depth of experience to full-scale event production and décor. From large installations and custom builds to detailed design elements and event coordination, she bridges creative vision with disciplined execution. Clients value her ability to anticipate challenges, manage moving parts, and deliver polished results under pressure.
Alyssa Storie
Designer | Production Manager
Alyssa began her career in the event industry in 2016 as a production assistant in the décor department at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center. This role was held through Safran Production Services Inc., under the direction of Mindy Safran. There, she built a strong foundation in event production and discovered her passion for design, décor, and the creative process behind live events.
During that time, she met her mentor, Mindy, CEO of Safran Production Services, and the two have continued to work closely together over the years.
Over the past decade, Alyssa has gained hands-on experience across many aspects of event production. This includes décor installation, floral design, staff management, coordination, and event execution. She has worked on events of all sizes, from intimate gatherings to large-scale productions.
Alyssa is a talented designer with a deep appreciation for the art and detail behind each event. She is particularly known for her ability to work with fabric, creating custom backdrop designs that add depth and character to a space.
She is known for being attentive to her clients and making sure they feel supported and taken care of throughout the planning and design process. Alyssa looks forward to working with you and helping bring your event vision to life!
